Urgent Care Telemedicine FAQs
1. What conditions can be treated through urgent care telemedicine?
We can evaluate many common urgent, non-emergency conditions, including colds and flu, sinus infections, sore throat, cough, allergies, headaches, minor infections, stomach problems, rashes, and other symptoms that can be evaluated remotely. The physician will determine whether telemedicine is appropriate for your condition.
2. How quickly can I see a doctor?
We offer convenient telemedicine visits designed for patients who need timely medical attention. Depending on availability, same-day appointments may be available.
3. Can I get a prescription through telemedicine?
Yes. If the physician determines that medication is appropriate, a prescription may be sent to your preferred pharmacy. Some medications may require an in-person evaluation or additional testing.
4. What if I need testing or an in-person examination?
If your condition requires laboratory testing, imaging, an examination, or treatment that cannot be safely provided through telemedicine, the physician will recommend the appropriate next step and may refer you to an in-person facility.
5. Can telemedicine treat an emergency?
No. Telemedicine urgent care is intended for non-life-threatening medical concerns. If you are experiencing severe chest pain, difficulty breathing, signs of stroke, severe bleeding, loss of consciousness, or another medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately.
